Befriend Time

Don’t You ever get scared of The Clock? Do You ever just stare at that graceful, skinny little stick while it’s taking Your life away?

That little rascal, although he is ungenerously counting away, he makes me feel very present. Somehow looking at him run - I freeze. Only then - Time stops. I look at him, he looks at me… Suddenly, I feel sorry for him... while doing so he is bound to run the same circle over and over again. I would hate to be in his place… to be caught in a routine like this… poor little devil.

- Count away, I say! I am not going to feel bad! Count away, I say, Dear fellow! I will not fear a second You will TICK from me! We are very similar you see, we both are going to stop working some day. We both will get cold, and rust till there will be nothing but dust. Although, there is one major difference - I have power over you. I can stop you, you can’t stop me! But instead of being spiteful, I will befriend my Dear Clock and make the best of the time he will so self-sacrificingly count for me.
